True to Santa Barbara form, we appreciate a good eco-friendly approach to living and design. It’s a great way to create a celebratory atmosphere while refreshingly curating a theme with what is already on hand.

This week, on Wednesday, March 6th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, we will have the lovely Dre McGee, LMFT hosting a workshop on Understanding and Preventing Work-Related Burnout. Dre has been practicing therapy for 11 years and is also a Transformational Coach providing psychotherapy and coaching to individuals.

Now is as good a time as any to bring some attention to a dear friend of ours, someone that has genuinely made our lives better, the amazing David Reynolds.

David is an internationally renowned chiropath who recently moved to Santa Barbara to begin his new practice, located The Narrative Loft!

We’re not sure about you, but this winter in Santa Barbara has been cold- like, really cold- and it’s making us want to stay in bed, curled up under the covers with a cup of hot cocoa. 

The need for a self care day and pampering is perfect for this cold weather. We might even know some cool people that can help! 

The incredible people from Don’t Tell Comedy stopped by for a pop-up show here last Friday night. Don’t Tell Comedy has brought fun, intimate comedy shows to unique venues for the last year and a half. The group started in Los Angeles, and has spread to classrooms, rooftops, and bars of more than 25 cities across America.

January is (finally) almost over, and hats off to you if you’re still putting on your running shoes every morning! We’re all familiar with the challenge to come up with resolutions for the new year, but you don’t have to wait until January 1st to work on yourself.

A couple weeks ago, Eric and a few members of the Foundation Training team worked with guest star Elijah Sacra for a video highlighting a few exercises designed for pain relief. Elijah Sacra is a US Marine Corps Veteran that has continued to serve our country through Warrior Wellness Solutions, a nonprofit organization based in North Carolina.

We welcomed the inspiring mother-daughter duo of Lauren Bragg and Pamela Abbott-Mouchou to The Narrative Loft for their Goal Setting & Feng Shui workshop! The two came together for the workshop, uniting their methodologies, (forming the ultimate butt-kicking team, if I do say so myself) as they offered the group some insight on how they could live their best life.

On this Thanksgiving day, we want to take this opportunity to appreciate the good things- and, of course, the good people- in our lives!

We are so inspired by the incredible stories of love and commitment that have been shared with us- like the one of Catherine and Phil. After 6 years together, they got married at the beautiful Sunken Gardens of the Santa Barbara Courthouse.

Jennifer and Jesse said their “I Dos” over the summer with us at The Narrative Loft, for their elegant August wedding. In front of friends and family, the couple-in-love celebrated their commitment and love for each other.

The first day of the month means pretty much everything is going to be pumpkin-spice, and, for some reason, Monster Mash is always stuck in your head. Even though the bad Halloween puns are everywhere, they’re a small price to pay for the free candy. I guess you can’t skele-run from the bad skele-puns.

Back in August, the lovely people from Mayesh Wholesale Florists held one of their “Curate & Create” workshops at The Narrative Loft as a part of their U.S. flower workshop tour. The five-date tour featured the amazing Kaylee Young of Flourish by Kay, a floral design business based in Portland, Oregon.

Whether you’ve been trying to get your friends to go on that 10 mile hike with you, or if Sunday brunch (*cough* mimosas *cough*) is more your pace, Santa Barbara has long been known as the perfect place to get away when you’re in desperate need of some rest and relaxation. But now, the fun doesn’t need to stop after the sun goes down. We have some new friends in town that will help keep the party going long into the night, and even into the early hours of the morning.

The founders of Save the Mermaids, a nonprofit organization that started with an eager group of girls, grew into something bigger than what they could have imagined.

We were able to watch an awesome demonstration of teamwork in person back in June! The Narrative Loft had the honor of welcoming the incredible Tai Sunnanon to our space as he led an informational workshop and discussion for nonprofit leaders, executives and board members.
