A group of truly inspirational ladies joined us in our Santa Barbara loft for a photoshoot last week. Zhena Muzyka is the author of "Life By the Cup", and a publisher at Enliven Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster.
Here is an excerpt about Zhena from her book, "as a twenty-four-year-old single mom, Zhena had an infant in need of life-saving surgery and only six dollars in her wallet. She also had two other powerful motivators: hope and a passion to share her unique tea blends with the world. Combining her kitchen hobby of blending tea, her knowledge of herbs and aromatherapy, and her gypsy grandmother’s wisdom, Zhena started selling custom teas from a cart on California street corners. Now, over a decade later, her son is healthy and Zhena’s Gypsy Tea is a multimillion-dollar brand."
She has become a speaker, business advisor, producer and overall inspiration advocate. Her mission is to empower people to live purpose driven lives via Zhena TV, the series she produces. For this shoot, the star of the show was another inspirational woman, Suzy Batiz. She rose above adversity by building a multi million dollar company after suffering two bankruptcies. Her company, Poo-Pourri, helps people own their sh*t with their bathroom odor eliminators. Plus, their hilarious potty mouth packaging is sure to bring a smile to your face next time you find yourself sitting on the loo. The shoot was for Suzy’s upcoming book and website launch about innovation, levity and a woman’s natural means of being successful in business.
Ojai based Mariana Schulze Photography documented the shoot with her creative eye. Seriously go check out her work, it is phenomenal. Sheila Raye Stone used her hair and makeup artistry to make Suzy glow even more than she already does!
