Women with varying backgrounds and experiences gathered in our Santa Barbara Loft for an empowering Women's Leadership Conference hosted by Zhena Muzyka and Linda Le Brock this past weekend. The day-long conference included a mix of inspiring talks, workshops, coaching from some of the world's greatest women coaches, and even a few dance parties! The eclectic yet elegant feel of The Narrative Loft paired perfectly with the variety of activities at the conference.
The day began with a stimulating yoga class led by Andrea Brook. She encouraged everyone to channel their energy into activating their intentions throughout the day. Rhonda Britten then delivered an emotionally empowering speech that discussed how challenging obstacles in the past can be used to inspire others in the future.
Linda Le Brock discussed her own experience with failure and then had others share their own experiences as well. She expressed that failure is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes. Another obstacle we tend to face are the limiting beliefs we have about ourselves. Natalie Ledwell addressed these limits, saying that we can become the best version of ourselves by stepping over those limits. Rikka Zimmerman then led a talk on how people are the main force that can ignite change in themselves and in our world.
Coming from a business-minded perspective, Melanie Benson Strick shared her expertise in coaching businesses globally. Then Kathleen McMullen Coady, a multi-talented designer and owner of Tower Design Studio, conveyed her vision of creating beautiful environmental spaces with an emphasis on sustainability. Christine Hassler talked about finding passion in unexpected ways, sharing her own experience of quitting her job as a successful Hollywood agent. With a focus on business, Molly Lavik shared her experiences founding Mentor InSight, Inc. and teaching at multiple schools in Los Angeles.
The phenomenal Zhena Muzyka closed out the talks with an inspiring speech about following your heart and trusting that a meaningful life is in everyone's future. Zhena is truly a force to be reckoned with, is there anything this woman can't do!?
To wrap up the day, the women danced to the tunes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. With such empowering speakers and music that gets you on your feet, how could you not feel inspired to move forward purposefully?
