The Creative Fight

The Creative Fight

The life we imagine is often much different from the life we lead in reality. For photographer, author, educator and friend Chris Orwig, the narrative in his head has become his reality. The Creative Fight is his newest endeavor and the third book he has authored, all of which are guides to creativity and producing your best work.

Chris Orwig is the new addition to 240 STUDIO!

240 STUDIO is very excited to announce the addition of Chris Orwig to our team!

Chris is an accomplished photographer, writer and teacher who lends his talents to educate students at Brooks Institute and Lynda.com on photography and digital imaging.

Chris and his studio manager, Shaun have been busy painting and styling their office at 240 STUDIO and they don’t seem to mind the 4-legged friends who prefer to nap in the doorway just as they are moving heavy equipment into the office.

We are looking forward to this partnership with Chris and are ecstatic to have his energy and creativity at 240 STUDIO!

Please visit Chris’ website to view his photography, read about his 5 best-selling books and to learn more about his sources of incredible inspiration!

Lynda.com presents an Exclusive Screening Sept 15th.

Exclusive screening of lynda.com's newest documentary Creative Inspirations.

The Life and Work of Marian Bantjes, Graphic Artist

Join AIGA Santa Barbara and lynda.com for socializing and a exclusive screening of the latest film in lynda.com's flagship documentary series, Creative Inspirations.  lynda.com co-founders Lynda Weinman and Bruce Heavin will join us at 240 Studio to introduce the new film featuring the life and work of graphic artist Marian Bantjes. A previous speaker at AIGA events, TED and design events across the planet, Marian has a unique style defies labeling. A much-admired designer, she has collaborated with such legends as Debbie Millman from Sterling Brands, Michael Bierut and Paula Scher from Pentagram/NY, Sean Adams from AdamsMorioka, and Stefan Sagmeister - all of whom are featured in the film. Shot on location in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, and Los Angeles, the film also whisks us away to Marian's private home and workspace on secluded Bowen Island. We listen to her outspoken opinions on design and designers and take in the amazing breadth of her work. Lynda and Bruce will be available to take questions after the screening, and key members of the lynda.com documentary team will be in attendance. Be a part of this exclusive evening!
