So Far, So Good
Goal Setting and Feng Shui Workshop
We welcomed the inspiring mother-daughter duo of Lauren Bragg and Pamela Abbott-Mouchou to The Narrative Loft for their Goal Setting & Feng Shui workshop! The two came together for the workshop, uniting their methodologies, (forming the ultimate butt-kicking team, if I do say so myself) as they offered the group some insight on how they could live their best life.
Catherine & Phil- Same Book, New Chapter
Jennifer & Jesse Tie the Knot!
Aubree's Spooky Halloween Treat
The first day of the month means pretty much everything is going to be pumpkin-spice, and, for some reason, Monster Mash is always stuck in your head. Even though the bad Halloween puns are everywhere, they’re a small price to pay for the free candy. I guess you can’t skele-run from the bad skele-puns.
Mayesh Design Star Workshop
Back in August, the lovely people from Mayesh Wholesale Florists held one of their “Curate & Create” workshops at The Narrative Loft as a part of their U.S. flower workshop tour. The five-date tour featured the amazing Kaylee Young of Flourish by Kay, a floral design business based in Portland, Oregon.
Take Me Away presents "A Night in Ibiza" (Santa Barbara style)
Whether you’ve been trying to get your friends to go on that 10 mile hike with you, or if Sunday brunch (*cough* mimosas *cough*) is more your pace, Santa Barbara has long been known as the perfect place to get away when you’re in desperate need of some rest and relaxation. But now, the fun doesn’t need to stop after the sun goes down. We have some new friends in town that will help keep the party going long into the night, and even into the early hours of the morning.
Save the Mermaids, Save the Ocean
The founders of Save the Mermaids, a nonprofit organization that started with an eager group of girls, grew into something bigger than what they could have imagined.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
We were able to watch an awesome demonstration of teamwork in person back in June! The Narrative Loft had the honor of welcoming the incredible Tai Sunnanon to our space as he led an informational workshop and discussion for nonprofit leaders, executives and board members.
Curtis and Jill's Artsy Boho Reception
Inspired By Love
The Narrative Loft partnered with photography duo James & Jess for a styled wedding photography workshop that gave aspiring wedding photographers an insider scoop on the makings of beautiful wedding photos.
How Do We Live a Remarkable Life in a Conventional World?
The sixth annual World Domination Summit in Portland, Oregon set out to explore this key question. With the values of community, adventure and service a thousand like-minded people came together for a weekend of new experiences, inspiration, connections and fun! With events, workouts, and meet-ups taking place across the city and speakers sharing their unique stories all day on the main stage, there was excitement around every turn! Not only that, attendees return from WDS with a new perspective, a fresh pep-in-their-step and the affirmation to keep on moving and shaking! Like our own fearless leader Michelle just did! Get ready for WDS 2017!
A Magical Night for a Magnificent Couple - Ken & Ashley
Sending this lovely couple all the happiness in the world! Witnessing their love was truly special, and seeing them so enamored with each other after nine years together was beautiful. If you have a weakness for all things Japanese, this celebration might make your heart skip a beat. Sweet touches like anime place cards, origami cranes and toasts were made with sake of course!
High School Sweethearts Celebrate with a Beautiful Rehearsal Dinner
This occasion perfectly highlighted the love of two high school sweethearts. Their love burns bright as ever, growing stronger each and every day. Tyler and Jessica's celebration was a true family affair. A big shoutout to the groom's mother Jaimie, for organizing the entire night and making the loft dreamy with her decorations. The space was full of darling details like personalized mason jars for each person, loads of framed photos, pretty signage and little potted plants. In an ode to their family's roots, the celebration had rustic touches and plenty of Southern charm.
Beautiful Loft Wedding —Jason and Doreen
The bride and groom pulled together to create the center-pieces and a photo booth. But here is the pinnacle of a DIY wedding, Doreen made her own dress. Yes, you heard that right. That gorgeous dress you see was stitched by the bride herself. As if the months leading up to a wedding isn't stressful enough, props girl!
Classic Romance - Ta'Rell and Kalyse
TaRell and Kalyse's reception was an absolute blast with guests dancing to songs hand-picked by the bride and groom. This was a true celebration or shall we say party of love. There was plenty of laughing, dancing, smiling, joking, eating and drinking! However in an ode to the traditional, the bouquet and garter were thrown for a lucky man and woman to anticipate their own turn walking down the aisle. Classic Party Rentals transformed the loft into a classic reception space while local favorite, Mony's Taqueria filled guests tummies from their taco truck. Sweet wedding wishes, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson!

Catherine Gee Design - Loft Takeover!
Few have the courage to step outside their comforts and explore the world beyond a nine to five. Or the passion to cultivate the lifestyle they yearn for. The fearlessness to pursue their creativity unreservably and create without worry of the outcome. The grit to turn their dreams into plans. What if we all could live without fear? Not our irrational fear of sharks or spiders but our true fears. The vast. The unknown. The unfamiliar. And lastly without fear of our own potential. When we open our hearts and minds to our limitlessness rather than our limitations, the world opens with opportunity. Moral of the rant. Be bold. Take risks. Shine bright. Like miss Catherine Gee!
