The incredible people from Don’t Tell Comedy stopped by for a pop-up show here last Friday night. Don’t Tell Comedy has brought fun, intimate comedy shows to unique venues for the last year and a half. The group started in Los Angeles, and has spread to classrooms, rooftops, and bars of more than 25 cities across America.
A couple weeks ago, Eric and a few members of the Foundation Training team worked with guest star Elijah Sacra for a video highlighting a few exercises designed for pain relief. Elijah Sacra is a US Marine Corps Veteran that has continued to serve our country through Warrior Wellness Solutions, a nonprofit organization based in North Carolina.

With graduation right around the corner, it was time for one last celebration! UCSB sorority Lambda Sigma Gamma joined us in our Santa Barbara Loft for a night of commemoration and frivolity.
The crew from local restaurant Cajun Kitchen were treated right with a night of holiday festivities. Taking a break from serving the Santa Barbara community delicious comfort food, they got down and let loose at The Narrative.
A group of teens ascended on The Narrative to celebrate Makena's milestone birthday. There were plenty of games, laughter, goofing around and silly teenage shenanigans. Makena had a Flipbooth, an open air photo booth with a modern twist...it takes video! The best part is guests got to take home their own unique flip book full of memories, printed instantly from the booth. Tamara's Catering delivered the goods once again with their healthy yet mouthwatering dinner options. The famous, Nothing Bundt Cake chain did not disappoint with their freshly baked sweet treats for the sugar hungry teens. H2H The Perfect Element entertainment and rentals turned The Narrative into the perfect party spot
On a sunny August day Ricky and Kimberly brought even more of their own sunshine to this celebration. From the plethora of sunflowers to their constantly smiling faces, the atmosphere of the loft was happy and bright. This darling couple called each other sweeties for thirteen years before tying the knot. To acknowledge this special number there were thirteen tables, and table cards were of movies they have seen every year together since they've been a couple. Too cute!
Sending this lovely couple all the happiness in the world! Witnessing their love was truly special, and seeing them so enamored with each other after nine years together was beautiful. If you have a weakness for all things Japanese, this celebration might make your heart skip a beat. Sweet touches like anime place cards, origami cranes and toasts were made with sake of course!
This occasion perfectly highlighted the love of two high school sweethearts. Their love burns bright as ever, growing stronger each and every day. Tyler and Jessica's celebration was a true family affair. A big shoutout to the groom's mother Jaimie, for organizing the entire night and making the loft dreamy with her decorations. The space was full of darling details like personalized mason jars for each person, loads of framed photos, pretty signage and little potted plants. In an ode to their family's roots, the celebration had rustic touches and plenty of Southern charm.
Ah, the beginning of June— the cusp between spring and summer. The first taste of summer has been savored with it's seemingly endless days and the comforting warmth of the sun upon one's skin. Bright. Inviting. Exciting. Optimistic. A time for shedding layers, literally and figuratively. A time of year to look forward to. The most symbolic season of the year in regards to marriage. Even though June can be finicky here in Santa Barbara, with unpredictable fog. Jessica and Jared burned right through the marine layer with their love. Burning bright and intensely like the summer sun.
Move your feet, shake your hips, twirl around and smile wide. Add your favorite people in the world and some fantastic music to boogie to. Add a pinch of great food, a few delicious drinks and you have the recipe for a phenomenal party. Birthday girl Kate, hit it out of the park for her 60th birthday. With the help of Town and Country Event Rentals, caterer Dining with Di and performer Jayne Wayne, she brewed up a magical party not to be forgotten.

Valentine's Day is here and love is in the air! We wish a joyous v-day to all the wonderful couples that chose our space as the setting for a chapter in their own love stories and for included us in such a special day of their lives. While we can't send a bouquet of red roses to every bride and groom that have walked through our door. We can send you all a virtual valentine A.K.A. a blog with a few of your smiling faces, as a toast to your love and our gratitude for all of you!
When two people tie-the-knot they make a vow to take on life's adventures side by side. For this lovely reception the bride and groom utilized our surround sound Sonos system with a hand-picked playlist for the big day! During dinner music by John Williams, composer of the scores from Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones and many more played in the background. Tamara's Catering kept stomachs happy with a build your own burrito station.
We're swooning over this gorgeous gathering! Jordan and Erik stole our hearts with their enchanting wedding! Every detail screams romance with gold hues and pink accents. The holidays are here and so was Tetra Tech, a leading provider of consulting, engineering, program management, construction management and technical services. They let loose here at The Narrative with DJ Sean Dasmann from AMS Entertainment bringing the beats.
It was sure cold outside, but our cozy space was nice and toasty for this lovely get together. Santa Barbara IT company Logic Monitor rang in the holidays here at The Narrative in the best way possible, a party!
