College is a time for ungodly amounts of coffee and even more ridiculous amounts of assigned reading. It consists of those study sessions at the library that go until the sun goes down and night turns into day again. At times it seems there is just no end to the papers and stress, but in the midst of the struggle, there are a select few who have something more than just friends to rely on- sorority sisters. A sorority is the kind of student group that brings women together for reasons beyond school and parties. It's an organization that fosters friendship and encourages bonds that last a lifetime.
Alpha Chi Omega, one of the sororities at UCSB, confirmed these lifelong bonds at its 50th reunion party at the Narrative Loft. Jenny from I.D.O. Events put together this 80's themed event where old ties strengthened and new friendships arose. With the help of Town and Country, our venue was lit up in neon purple and had plenty of room for guests to chat and enjoy photo slideshows of members from new and old chapters. The made-to-order grilled cheese station from Omni kept guests full and satisfied while grooving to the music provided by DJ Darla Bea. When they weren't mingling, guests took advantage of Open Air Photobooth and snapped silly photos to commemorate a wonderful night celebrating their sisterhood.
Thank you, Alpha Chi Omega, for bringing your infectious joy and holding the reunion at The Narrative. May your sisterhood be strong and legacy inspirational for years to come!
