Welcome to this beautiful family reunion to celebrate and honor the love of Glen and Marissa. Family and friends pitched in for the entire set-up to make this dream a reality. A glamourous backdrop for the bride and groom was rented from Red Carpet Photo Shoot. Vony's Party Rentals provided tables and chairs while Jolly Jumps brought the fun with their bouncy house. Kids and adults alike were entertained and bounced off their food comas (otherwise known as Polynesian paralysis). Most of the food including a traditional Lechon or slow-roasted pig, Filipino style was prepared by family members while Chinese food was catered by Mandarin Palace.

This occasion perfectly highlighted the love of two high school sweethearts. Their love burns bright as ever, growing stronger each and every day. Tyler and Jessica's celebration was a true family affair. A big shoutout to the groom's mother Jaimie, for organizing the entire night and making the loft dreamy with her decorations. The space was full of darling details like personalized mason jars for each person, loads of framed photos, pretty signage and little potted plants. In an ode to their family's roots, the celebration had rustic touches and plenty of Southern charm.

TaRell and Kalyse's reception was an absolute blast with guests dancing to songs hand-picked by the bride and groom. This was a true celebration or shall we say party of love. There was plenty of laughing, dancing, smiling, joking, eating and drinking! However in an ode to the traditional, the bouquet and garter were thrown for a lucky man and woman to anticipate their own turn walking down the aisle. Classic Party Rentals transformed the loft into a classic reception space while local favorite, Mony's Taqueria filled guests tummies from their taco truck. Sweet wedding wishes, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson!

Seven local entrepreneurs took to the mic to divulge their unique entrepreneurial journeys. They spoke of their ideas, risks, rewards, trials, tribulations, successes and satisfactions. With his wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of experience he became a perfect fit with the burgeoning Foundation crew. He helped the trainers discover and develop a way of learning that focuses on teaching Foundation Training by showing people how to teach it rather than just how to do it.

Ah, the beginning of June— the cusp between spring and summer. The first taste of summer has been savored with it's seemingly endless days and the comforting warmth of the sun upon one's skin. Even though June can be finicky here in Santa Barbara, with unpredictable fog. Jessica and Jared burned right through the marine layer with their love. Burning bright and intensely like the summer sun.

Back in early 2015, as sophomores in high school Zoe Reifel and Gabriela Goldberg set out alter the scenery and change the status quo for local teenagers. They set out to create a platform for the youth to inspire and empower one another by sharing their ideas, innovations and discoveries. Thus TEDx Youth at The Funk Zone was born.
